I once was bound,

but now I am free, 

because Jesus righteously

lives in me

 

I once decided,

to trust in Him, 

and Jesus so graciously

took me in

 

I once was dead,

but now I'm alive, 

because Jesus revived

me from the inside

 

I once was blind,

but now I see, 

for Jesus gave me clarity

 

I once was full of fear

and anxiety, 

but Jesus became

a peaceful retreat for me

 

I once walked in sin

 and held my head in shame, 

until Jesus unchained my feet, 

now I am no longer the same

 

I once thought that all was lost

 and all hope was gone, 

until Jesus showed me 

that I was completely wrong

 

I once was drifting in an ocean 

of constant pain, 

until Jesus' love rescued me,

 and my life since then

has not been the same

 

I once was a mess

and my life was too, 

but Jesus changed all of that, 

and he can do

the same thing for you
