Time Management
(Don’t Waste Your Days)

When we are attempting to accomplish anything in our lives there are two important aspects we must consider: our goals and the time we will allot to accomplishing them. Accomplishing anything without goals to direct your steps is impossible. And mismanagement of your time makes it even more of an impossibility.
Our gifts and talents are our most beneficial resources, but time management is the vehicle by which we use them effectively and efficiently. Wasting time is wasting life. I know, I did it for twenty years just misusing my energy for useless activities that brought nothing but addictions and poverty. I wanted to be and have so much more, but the way I was spending my life (time) was causing me to forfeit what was meaningful and useful to my life.
My advice to you is "Don't Waste Your Days" they add up to how you spend your lifetime. Everyday spent fruitful is a day spent wisely. Dreaming is but one element of achieving; implementation requires that you give prompt attention to how you spend your time, especially your days. Use every day as a step toward your desired result. Plan ahead, then implement your plan one day and step at a time.
Don't give attention or energy to useless activities that will not move your life forward in the direction you and God desire. If you do, you will surely go off course. Stay the course by taking care of business and managing your time. If you need to, block out slots of time for every set of daily responsibilities. And whatever you do, please remember to block out time for yourself. Your personal time to just be, is the most important time you can use. It will help you strengthen and refresh your mind.
I didn’t always do this, and I put everything and everyone else ahead of me. I have since, changed the way I do the “Business of Me.” I take time for myself early in the morning, as I am spending time with God in prayer and devotional readings or listening to ministry recordings. Then I do a 1-hour walk. After work, I relax my mind to decompress, then I do something that I enjoy. Afterward, I relax before bed, by praying, praising, and reflexing.
Making time for time with God and you is the best investment of time you can ever spend. You might not always get it perfect, I sure don’t, but the more you do it, the more balanced you will become. It’s not about perfection, only consistency.
